Chamera Guffa (bat cave)

This cave was named Chamera Guffa (bat cave) simply because of hundreds of bats living here. Locally it is called Chamero Odhaar (House of Bats), we also heard the name Oderibuwan Gupha. This cave is a few minutes footpath from Mahendra Cave, but costs extra.
The tour starts with a descent to the cave entrance. There is a trail through the cave, but no light, the obligatory guide provides some light with his candle, so we recommend very much to bring your own torches. This cave is not at all interesting - similar to nearby Mahendra cave - except for the enormous number of bats. There are realy thousands of bats hanging at the ceiling.
The end of the cave is probably also a sort of highlight. The guide climbs up a steep cave wall, probabl 15m, until a narrow hole goes back to the surface. Definitely not suitable for big or large visitors. They have to turn around and go back to the entrance.
